Tesni Chairman Gerry Jewson receives a signed shirt from the Rugby Gogledd Cymru Under 16’s as a thank you for sponsoring the team’s very successful trip to the Colorno Tournament in Italy which saw North Wales’ top young rugby talent crowned champions ahead of stiff competition from the home nation, South Africa and England.
The Rugby Gogledd Cymru Under 16s team went the whole tournament unbeaten, including an empathic 54-3 win over Staines RFC in the semi final, followed by a 14-10 win over the Vineyard Boys of South Africa in the final to claim the Colorno title.
As a group of players the team had been working tirelessly for 8 months to be able to compete in this tournament. Tesni sponsored the team’s tour, providing them with the opportunity to play on an international stage. This gave the coaches and management team a perfect platform to develop the young group of players and gave them a real performance goal for the end of the season.
