Tesni supports Nantwich Festival with two-year sponsorship deal
A creative festival has had a financial boost thanks to a two-year sponsorship deal with environmentally-friendly house building company Tesni Homes.
Tesni has committed to support the brand new Kids and Music element of the Nantwich Words and Music Festival, which will be held in the town between 10-16 October.
As part of the Festival, for the first time since its launch in 2008, children and young people from 6 to 16 will have the opportunity to perform on stage, as individuals or in groups, in a one-off event aimed at showcasing new talent. An expected 60 to 70 children will take to the stage of the Crown Hotel ballroom on Nantwich High Street on Thursday 13 October, for what promises to be a varied evening of music, singing and performance.
Lorraine Hopkins, Marketing and PR Manager for Tesni - a sustainable house builder with awards for ecological innovation and responsible building, said: “We see a good deal of synergy between the Festival and Tesni and as such it is a great pleasure to commit to sponsoring the event both this year and next.
“We love the fact that the Festival, over the course of the week, gives the town an opportunity to welcome high quality performances in unexpected venues, while at the same time giving a stage to unknown local talent and young people.
“At Tesni we have been building award-winning homes with a difference not too far away in Shropshire, North Wales and Liverpool, but we are new to Nantwich - with plans to build a collection of new homes on Welshpool Lane in the town from summer 2017 - so this for us too is an opportunity to introduce ourselves to a new community while supporting a great local event. We see great potential for our partnership with the Festival to grow over time”

One aspect of the Festival we're keen to develop is the creation of performance opportunities for the burgeoning young musical talent in Nantwich. We're very happy to welcome Tesni on board and grateful to the company for supporting us in trying something new.”
The annual Words and Music Festival brings original music, poetry and literature to Nantwich and features iconic and internationally known musical names, along with emerging talent, with performances and readings in a wide range of venues including cafes, bars and restaurants.
With visitors drawn from all over the UK and beyond, the Festival has attracted such talent as Badly Drawn Boy, The Lightning Seeds, Stuart Maconie, The Wonder Stuff, Mark Radcliffe and `Whispering’ Bob Harris.
