The first step in building an energy efficient home is to make sure the building fabric is well insulated. At Tesni we like to go the extra mile in order to make sure our homes are significantly better than our competitors, there are many different elements to this but here are some of the main improvements; floors – additional depth of insulation below the ground floor; walls – thicker and better performing insulation in the cavity; Roof – deeper insulation in the loft. These improvements and others we make over and above the building regulations requirements mean that we achieve around a 20 to 25% improvement in CO2 emissions rate compared with a similar new build house that meets the current building regulations standards. As well as reducing CO2 emissions this means your Tesni home stays warm, feels cosy and uses less energy to heat.
